The Story Behind the Piano Rake®

Australian pianist and teacher, Joe Bourke created The Piano Rake. He had been using stickers to help his students “connect the dots on the page with the keys on the piano.” However, his students complained that the stickers left a gummy residue behind on the keys when they were removed. Either that or they simply weren’t sticking at all.

That’s when Joe invented The Piano Rake. He wanted to give students the help they needed with an accessory that could be installed or uninstalled by anyone at any time. And because he made it from durable silicone rubber, The Piano Rake proved to be a long-lasting tool that could be used over and over again.
