Building a Harmonious Relationship
We offer both in-person and online lessons. Online lessons are via Zoom and are a weekly recurring appointment.
We recognize that music lessons are an important investment for our students. That’s why we want to make sure our relationship with our students and parents is professional and that our policies are clearly stated. In this way, we avoid misunderstandings, thus enabling us to create a fulfilling experience for everyone.
When you enroll at A. Kopp Music, you will receive a copy of your client contract. The following is an overview of our rates, payment procedures, and lesson policies.

Lesson Policies
- Missed Lessons. While we understand that circumstances may occasionally require a student to miss a lesson, it’s important to attend lessons on a consistent basis. If you must miss a lesson, please contact us as soon as possible. Because you are reserving the instructor’s time when you schedule a lesson, fees are not waived for missed lessons.
- Make Up Lessons. Make up lessons are available only with advanced notice of missed lessons and you must take them the week of the missed lesson or the following week. Make up lessons are not guaranteed and are based on the instructor’s availability.
- No Show Policy. A student who does not show for a lesson is not eligible for a make up lesson.
- Canceled Lessons. In the event of instructor illness, inclement weather or technology failure, A. Kopp Music may be forced to cancel lessons. These will be rescheduled, or the following monthly fee will be adjusted accordingly.
- Discontinuing Lessons. Kopp Music requests a two-week notice prior to discontinuing lessons.
- Student Dismissal. On rare occasions, for some students, music lessons are not a good fit. A. Kopp Music reserves the right to dismiss a student and/or family at any time for the following reasons: chronic non-practice, argumentativeness, disrespectful or rude behavior, non-adherence to policy.
