For the Record: “I started playing music pretty late in life (by today’s standard) at the end of 9th grade. I took lessons with the band director, and he quickly passed me on to a professional drummer at the local music store. I eventually taught at the same place, definitely one of those full-circle moments!”

“There have been so many influences in my musical journey, but some of the most notable through the years have been Vinnie Colaiuta, Alex Van Halen, Dennis Chambers, Viktor Wooten, Mike Stern, Steve Smith, Anika Nilles, Matt Garstka, Chris Allison and Santana.”

“Whether students are just starting out or already experts, my fun and practical teaching style will take technique, musicality, and creativity to the next level. I work with students to develop a plan to achieve their individual musical goals. My approach includes rudiments, time and key signatures, reading music, exercises, playing with music, rhythmic modulation, playing together, and improvisation for a variety of musical styles and percussion instruments.”
